Kim Butler started her career in talent management in 2007. After spending 10 years at an agency learning her craft she decided to take the leap and set up her own company. This decision came off the back of feeling slightly disillusioned with the industry and wanting to do things differently. What that looked like was building a company that focused on multi-hyphenated talent who were building their own brands against the grain of the industry. Kim founded Diving Bell in 2017 Justin Girdler in 2017, on a Friday afternoon in a pub in South London. 8 years Later and Diving Bell has been the instrumental force behind multiple generation-defining creators, authors, artists and broadcasters who boast an audience of over 20 million highly engaged followers across their social platforms. Through strategic management, Kim has represented award winning podcasts with millions of downloads, sold out live shows in Royal Albert Hall and London Palladium, released multiple best selling books and facilitated millions in brand partnerships. Most recently she featured in a feature length Universal Film which documented her client and her career journey – the film premiered at SXSW and is now available on Amazon Prime. Outside of Diving Bell Kim holds the role of Secretary for the DCA (Digital Creators Association) a trade body representing the interests and needs of creators. Kim also works closely with 10 Downing Street on their digital creator strategy for their new media unit.
