Millie Gooch

Founder

Sober Girl Society

With a community of over 620k followers, Millie Gooch is the founder of the Sober Girl Society and one of the voices leading the UK’s sobriety movement. In 2024, she completed her Masters in Mental Health & Addiction and gave a TedX Talk on ‘Why Alcohol Belongs In The Mental Health Conversation’. Her first book, The Sober Girl Society Handbook was described as “an empowering survival guide” by the Evening Standard, and led to her appointment as a proud ambassador for Alcohol Change UK. An established author, her second literary venture, mindfulness journal Booze Less was published in November 2024. Millie’s authority documenting her sobriety journey has led to partnerships with a multitude of global brands including Bird&Blend, Anthropologie & Nationwide. This year, Millie was also selected as an ambassador for BRITA, kicking off her partnership with a Sober Girl Society event with Jamie Murray. She’s also delivered employee workshops for the likes of ASOS, Charlotte Tilbury and the Ministry of Justice and has appeared as a guest on Boots’ Taboo Talks podcast alongside Vogue Williams as well as Should I Delete That with Alex Light and Em Clarkson. This year, Millie was also invited as a speaker at WellFest 2025 and she was a panelist at a talk with The Royal College of Psychiatrists.
